Terms of Use

Couples by DoubleW · Effective 5 November 2026

These terms are the rules for using the Couples app. They are written to be read.

1. Agreement

By downloading or using Couples you agree to these terms and to Apple’s Standard License Agreement (the “Apple EULA”). If they conflict, the Apple EULA prevails. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Your licence

DoubleW gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Couples on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the Apple EULA. DoubleW keeps all rights in the app, its design, artwork and software.

3. Your photos and movies

Your photos and the movies you make are yours. Couples processes them on your device and we do not claim any rights in them (see our Privacy Policy). You are responsible for having the right to use the photos you put into a movie, and for respecting the people in them: please only share a movie with the agreement of the people it shows.

4. Purchases

5. Accuracy

Couples recognises faces automatically, and it can get things wrong: it may group two similar-looking people together, split one person in two, guess wrongly which person is you, or miss a photo. That is why it asks you to review and correct. Please do not rely on Couples to identify anyone for any important purpose, for example security, safety or legal reasons.

6. Acceptable use

Do not copy, modify or reverse engineer the app (except where the law lets you), use it to break the law or anyone’s rights (including their privacy), to identify or track people who have not agreed to it, or try to interfere with how it works.

7. No warranty

Couples is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, DoubleW does not promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing here limits rights you have under the law that cannot be waived.

8. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, DoubleW is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data or photos arising from your use of the app, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Ending and changes

You can stop using Couples at any time by deleting it. We may update the app and these terms; when we make a material change we will update the date above and tell you in the app. Using the app after a change means you accept it.

10. Apple

These terms are between you and DoubleW, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Couples, is not responsible for claims about it, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them against you, as set out in the Apple EULA.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where DoubleW is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
