Couples looks through your photos on your phone for photos of exactly two people, works out who is in each one, and groups them by couple. Open a couple and tap Make movie: every photo is lined up so the same person stays on the left, eyes level, faces the same size. Then export the movie.

Couples uses photos with exactly two people in them, with both faces clearly visible and facing the camera. Group photos, photos where a third person is visible, and faces in profile are left out. Two people need at least three photos together to become a couple. Tap + on the Couples screen to add photos and look again.

When Couples isn’t sure, it asks: open a couple with “to review” on its card, or answer “Is this the same person?” on the Couples screen. To take a photo out, open it and choose Not them. If Couples joined two different people into one, open the couple, tap …, choose Two people mixed up? and pick the person who is really two people.

iPhones don’t tell apps who owns the phone, so Couples guesses: the person who appears with the most different people. If it guessed wrong, open a couple, tap the names, and choose This is me or Not me.

Couples makes a movie of any two people who are often photographed together. Open them, tap the names, and choose Partners, Family or Friends (you’re also asked before making stickers). Family and friends never get romantic sticker poses, and anniversaries are only offered for partners. To leave a pair out altogether, choose Hide in the … menu.

Open the couple and tap the two faces at the top (or choose Swap sides in the … menu). Every frame of the movie follows.

If you gave Couples access to only some photos, add more under Settings › Photo access. Photos that are stored only in iCloud are skipped until you choose Download and check.

Open Settings › Restore purchases in the app on a device signed in with the Apple ID you bought it with.

Refunds are handled by Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and choose the purchase.

Names, couples, your answers and the numbers used to recognise faces are stored on your phone only. To clear them, use Settings › Reset and rescan everything, or delete the app. See the Privacy Policy.
